Varanasi Tour from Delhi 2 Days

Day 1: At 5:30 am, guests will be collected from their hotel and transported to the ghat to partake in a morning boat ride during the sunrise. At this time, numerous devotees can be observed bathing in the sacred waters. The river banks are adorned with an unending succession of stone steps, known as ghats, which extend from one end of the city to the other. It is believed that those who pass away in the river of life in Varanasi are liberated from the cycle of birth and death, making the site a sanctuary for the infirm and elderly who await their final days. The smoke emanating from the crematoriums on the river’s edge bears witness to their ultimate release from earthly constraints. The boat will dock at Manikarnika (Cremation) Ghat, where anywhere from a few dozen to a few hundred corpses are cremated on any given day, and the ghat is bustling with activity as the cremated bodies emit smoke and fire.

After returning to the hotel, guests will have breakfast before embarking on a tour of Varanasi. The Bharat Mata Temple, which features a large marble map of India on the ground floor, will be visited first. The temple was inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi. Following the Bharat Mata Temple, guests will visit the New Kashi Vishwanath Temple, which is open to both Hindus and non-Hindus and has a modern design. The temple is surrounded by palm trees and is a white marble structure that gleams in the afternoon sun against a pale blue sky. The interior of the temple is spacious and airy. In the
evening, guests will enjoy the renowned Ganga Arti. At this ghat, a group of priests performs “Agni Pooja” (Worship to Fire) every evening, dedicating it to Lord Shiva, River Ganga (the Ganges), Surya (Sun), Agni (Fire), and the entire universe. Special Aarti’s are held on Tuesdays and religious festivals. Finally, guests will be transported
back to their hotel and can rest for the remainder of the day.

Day 2: Following your breakfast, your designated chauffeur and guide will be present to accompany you on a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, “Sarnath”. Commence your tour at the Chaukhandi Stupa, an elevated structure encompassed by an octagonal tower, which serves as the gateway to Sarnath. Proceed to the Dhamek Stupa, a cylindrical structure constructed of stone and brick, adorned with intricate floral carvings. Subsequently, visit the Mulagandha Kuti Vihar Temple, which houses remarkable frescoes and Buddhist literature. Conclude your tour by visiting the Sarnath Museum, where you can view its collection of Buddhist art and sculptures. Following
your tour, relish a delectable lunch at a local restaurant before being chauffeured to either Varanasi airport or Varanasi Railway Station.
