Taj Mahal
Our first stop will be the UNESCO World Heritage site and a cherished example of Mughal architecture, the Taj Mahal.
Upon arrival, we will embark on a spectacular tour of the Taj Mahal, renowned for its architectural grandeur and aesthetic beauty. Emperor Shah Jahan commissioned this exquisite white marble mausoleum in memory of his beloved queen Mumtaz Mahal in 1631. The monument took 20,000 artisans and 22 years to complete. Witness the dramatic interplay of light as the sun rises and casts its golden rays over the pearl white tomb, recreating the magic of the Taj.
After capturing some memorable morning photographs, there will be ample time to explore the Taj Mahal.
Agra Fort
Following our visit to the Taj Mahal, we shall proceed to explore the Agra Fort, a remarkable exemplar of Mughal architecture and a bastion of the Mughal Empire across successive generations. It is noteworthy that Shah Jahan, the mastermind behind the Taj Mahal, spent his final years in captivity at this very location, as a consequence of his son Aurangzeb’s actions. The fort was originally constructed in the late 1560s by Akbar, the predecessor of Jahangir, his son, and Shah Jahan, his grandson, who later added embellishments to the structure.
Subsequently, we shall enjoy a delectable 5-star lunch at the Hotel.
The tour concludes here, and as you embarks on your private journey back to Jaipur.
